Hearings on class action lawsuit against the DNC quietly proceed as Dems double down on their "

Well, it makes sense to use your legal rights to avoid giving every Bernie supporter their donation back, but the Democrats are really shooting themselves in the foot with this one. The class action lawsuit filed against the DNC last year has mysteriously been swept under the rug by the media. If Bernie's massive small-contribution army is able to win the lawsuit, they would be awarded refunds for their campaign donations - equating to millions in losses for the DNC. The lawsuit was filed after Wikileaks released thousands of emails from the DNC showing Hillary had the Democratic nomination in the bag the whole time. Not only did top officials in the DNC blatantly discuss ways to hurt Bernie's campaign, but people like Donna Brazil had also fed debate questions to then candidate Hillary. In a slew of other emails, it was shown that television shows, mostly on CNN, had asked for questions and guidelines ahead of the debates to help out Hillary. Not only that, but the news coverage was consistently monitored by the DNC and critiqued. News anchors would be told to go lighter on Hillary at times or just make her out to be a better person than she really was. Shockingly, this wasn't covered nearly enough on late night news, probably because of the deceptive practices I just explained. Those who filed suit argued that they believed they were donating to a candidate that would be treated fairly by the DNC, not one who never had a chance. As hearings begin to dismiss the case, DNC lawyers argue judges have no say in how a political party decides on its nominee. While this is true from a legal standpoint - any political party has the right to choose their candidate as they see fit, be it picking sticks behind a gas station - Bernie supporters argue it was assumed they were donating to a campaign that would be treated as an equal to then rival candidate Hillary Clinton. While this is a smart move for the democrats when it comes to law, it couldn't be more revealing of the DNC's ethical standards.

This is one of many prime reasons the US shouldn't be dependent on only two political parties. Legally, these parties can do whatever they want, and consequently, Americans will have to suck it up. While public opinion usually keeps this from happening, it's much harder to stop when one party has the media on their side.

Regardless, I would be furious if I donated to Bernie, and even more furious if he continued to ignore the fact that his candidacy was never fair.
